SQUIRRELS NEST NYMPH
The Squirrels Nest has been with me for a while now, and this year it shined from Pennsylvania limestone & tail-water streams, to Virginia Spring Creeks and freestone waters. I carry it on all waters in #12 through #16.

Materials:
- Hook: Standard Scud #12- #16
- Bead: Gold Tungsten
- Abdomen: Natural Grey Squirrel
- Rib: Medium Gold Uni-wire
- Wing-case: Dark Brown Goose Biots
- Thorax: Peacock Ice-dub
Position Bead, start thread & wrap back to the point on the shank where the line of the barb intersects.
Tie in wire the length of the shank and wrap down, bringing the thread back to the initial start point.
Dub the squirrel body to the 2/3rds point on the shank.
Palmer the wire forward evenly and tie off.
Tie in Goose biots with tips extended even with or slightly past the mid-point of the abdomen.
Dub a substantial thorax. Whip finish and cement.
