STONE PALMER
The Stone Palmer is a special fly for me and It was created near Culebra´s Stream in San Martin de los Andes, Neuquen, Argentina. It´s a magic and beautiful place in Patagonia where we can admire some of the secrets that nature gives us constantly. This stream has pure and transparent water so it´s an excellent place to find those nice Stoneflies Patagonicas ninphas. I´ve been inspired by them to create the Stone Palmer. I´ve fished many fontinalis there.
The name is dedicated to a special friend of mine who is a pasionate fly fisherman like me. He took me to that place for the first time. His name is Hector Palmer; a great artist and a great person. He´s a great friend of mine who supports "the esence of fly fishing".

I´m Marcelo Malventano . I´m an angler and passionate art realistic flies artist .
Patagonia ( Argentina) is a place which nature is marvellous because of its beautiful lakes ,big mountains and its old forest. I´ve been living there since I was young so I was inspired by it in my art.
My passion to art, tying realistic flies was born there and it gives me plenty of satisfaction every day. That´s why I like to tie all kind of flies : dry ,wet, nimphs, streamers, salmons and realistics.
I prefer realistic flies because I can be near art with simple materials and I can create REAL LIFE with them. I think that the esence of tying realistic flies is to IMITATE LIFE. It´s very important for me because I think that Nature hides marvellous secrets to admire. My favorite teacher always repeats that we never have to lose our vivid imagination to create our flies like children who are playing with "MAGIC".
