There may be no more annoying dilemma than to have a jar of head cement which
has successfully glued itself quite fast together.
Now, you can rap it on a counter, perhaps breaking it in the process. You can use a pair of
pliers, and perhaps twist off not only the lid, but also the entire upper portion of the glass vessel.
Or you can prevent the problem from the outset.
A very small bit of Vaseline, applied in a very fine film around the threads of the jar will
absolutely prevent the bottle from attaching itself to the lid, no matter how much glue
may accidentally come into contact with it.
If you have any tips or techniques, send them along, most of this
material has been stolen from somebody, might as well steal your ideas
too! ~ George E. Emanuel
