Foam sheets, a hole punch and a permanent marker are
all you need to make a ton of light-weight eyes for bass
bugs and other flies.
My wife was making a project for her first-graders,
using a single-hole punch to make holes in sheets of
thin craft foam – like you'd use for rubber spiders
and the like. She marked each spot with a dot from a
Sharpie® then punched the hole. The resulting scrap
were little foam circles with black pupils, perfect
for deer-hair bugs and poppers.
Now I "punch eyes" from her scraps in a variety of color
combinations. ~ GM
