I'd been using Testor model enamel until
recently, when I switched to gloss acrylic
paint (available in the craft section at
wally world or in the paint sections of any
craft store). The enamel works great, but
the gloss acrylic dries much faster
(about 10 minutes). It comes in all the
'good' eye colors: red, yellow, white, black.
For an applicator, I just bought a cheap drill index at the local
dollar store. It has sizes from 1/16 to 1/4 inch in 1/64 inch
increments. Easy to select the correct 'size' for iris/pupil to fit
any size head. The paint just wipes off once you are done. Cost,
one dollar, and has it's own stroage box. AND as long as you
don't lose any bits, it will last for several lifetimes. Works better
than anything else I've seen.
Good Luck! ~ Buddy Sanders
