If you want to use the bead chain as eyes but
would like to have them black, I have an easy
solution. All you have to do is cut your chain
up into eyes then put them in a small cup and
cover them with liquid cold blue for about forty
minutes. Rinse with water and lay them out to dry
overnight. The liquid cold blue can be purchased
at any gun store and most depatment stores that
sell guns.
After about twenty minutes I take a toothpick and
stir them a little bit. I don't really know if it
makes a difference but it makes me feel like they
are getting an even exposure to the solution. It
will also take the shine off of brass bead chain
eyes if you want a golden tan color without the glare.
