Customizing a Rotary Vise Handle
By Steven H. McGarthwaite

Are you unhappy with the handle that came with your rotary vise? Do you find it clumsy, and more of a bother than of worth? Maybe you would like to try a turning wheel instead of a handle. It is easy enough to try it out, and the cost is under $2.00.

Before

I bought a large cork plug at the hardware store, it came with a hole drilled in the middle, so I just had to increase the size of the hole to fit on the shaft of the rotary vise. You can also use cork disks that are for building rod handles.

After

Take off the handle and spacer bars, install the cork wheel, and retighten the knurled nut onto the end of the rotary shaft. ~Parnelli
