Clutter is the enemy of every fly tier; items
get put down and disappear among the other stuff.
What is really bothersome is misplacing the small
items or tools you use repeatedly, yet do not want
to hold until you need them again. One way to solve
the problem is to get those things off the tabletop
and into a side tray.

All you need is a muffin tin (25¢ at a garage sale),
a fender washer (35¢), and a sheet metal screw (7¢).
Total cost is only 67¢ for the whole project.
Used a fender washer for more support of the muffin
tin when affixed under the tabletop. Used a sheet
metal screw because it has a wider head to hold
the fender washer.
The muffin tin side tray can swing under the tabletop
to secure items out of harms way when you are not
tying. Simple idea that has made tying more enjoyable
and as reduces the delay in tying time looking for
items that disappear on the tabletop. ~Parnelli
