Several months ago while rummaging through my wife's old
desk I found an old nail file. Upon closer examination
I realized it was actually coated with diamond dust.
Since this discovery I have been using it to sharpen all
my hooks. Not only does it do a great job, but it also
comes with a "coarse" and a "fine" side. There is even
one style which is shorter with a useful pointed end.
But best of all, they only cost about three bucks. I have
since bought a couple more for the boat and so far despite
exclusive use in saltwater I've seen little corrision. The
ones I have are made by Revlon with the coarse side labeled
"shaper" and the fine side labled "finishing," but I have
seen other name brands with similar products.
I know what you're thinking, "Great, just what we need
another reason to shop in the women's costmetic section!"
