By George E. Emanuel

In the coming weeks, and months we will present tips and techniques to make your fly tying experience easier and more enjoyable. We will endeavor to assist you in becoming a better fly tyer, regardless of your current skill level.

Those of you who are new to tying flies will find much useful information here. Those of you who are old hands may well have your memory jogged, and an old idea, which you never put to use, may finally come to fruition.

Some of these tips will involve tools, aids to tying, techniques for performing certain operations and anything else which strikes our fancy and might be of use to you at your bench.

Where possible, photo illustration will be utilized to show you exactly what we are doing, so that you may more fully understand the ideas presented.

If at any time you have a question, feel free to Email me, I answer all mail and will try to get you the answers you deserve.

Hopefully you will be able to participate from time to time in making suggestions for this area. All suggestions are appreciated, and may well be published, in which case you will be credited with having submitted the tip, or technique.

If you have any tips or techniques, send them along, most of this material has been stolen from somebody, might as well steal your ideas too! ~ George E. Emanuel (Chat Room Host Muddler)
