Pour one cup of wild rice and a mixed cup of onion,
celery and carrots into a slow cooker (Crock Pot)
along with four cups of water and one cup of red wine.
Dredge a beef roast into spiced flour (I use various
combination of Willinghams and Cajun), the brown in a
couple of tablespoons of olive oil. Then add to the
crock pot. Cook on high for 4-5 hours.
The rice will be fluffy with a succulent gravy, and
the roast will be perfectly tender. Serve with a good
merlot or red wine of choice. ~ JGW
