Floating Devils

When my high school buddy was here he was asking for the desert of choice my Mom used to make for us. My daughter Liz just happened to have it in her recipe box. Brought it to me and thought you guys might like to have it.

Sauce:

    ½ cup Brn Sugar
    ½ cup White Sugar
    1 Tb butter
    pinch salt
    1 ½ cup water

Melt above together in small pan on stove, then pour into 8 x 8 glass pan.

Cakes:

    ½ cup sugar
    1 cup flour
    2 Tb butter
    2 tsp baking powder
    3 tsp cocoa
    1 tsp vanilla
    ½ cup milk

Mix all together, drop to create 6 to 8 cakes on top of sugar mix.

Bake 30 min. at 350º

Serve by flipping cake over and drizzle syrup over top, ice cream or cool whip may be added. ~ Denny
