Aloha Bread |
I phoned up the Sunbeam customer service number to ask a
couple questions. The representative was very nice and
at the end of our conservation offered this recipe, which
she said was very 'like' her native Hawaiian bread. We've
eaten the Hawaiian bread and thought it would be fun to try.
Let us know what you think. We baked this as a 2# loaf, and on the sweet dough setting. It made a really big loaf, and knowing what I know now, I would place it in a regular loaf pan, let it rise and bake in the oven.
3/4 C. drained pineapple. 1/2 C. water. 1/4 C. pineapple juce. 1 tsp. butter. 4 C. Gold metal bread flour. 2/3 C. shredded coconut. 1/2 C. pecan or walnut pieces. 1 tbs. dry milk. 1 tbs packed brown sugar plus 1 tsp. 1 1/2 tsp. salt. 1 3/4 tsp. yeast.
