I was reading Jim Pemberton's article about having a
client's signature on the fly rod that has been purchased.
I use a sheet of water decal transfer paper purchased in
a local hobby shop to do about the same thing. Scan the
name, print it out on the computer printer and then spray
with a clear coat of Krylon of Krylon fixative. After
drying, the decal can be transferred to the rod blank
as you would any other water transferable decal. Dry
overnight and finish as usual. The decal is clear and
does not hide the color of the rod. ~ Al Bourisaw
