I'm sure most of you are aware of using surgical tubing to hold guide
feet in place for stress and cast testing. Some folks don't like to use
it because it can be a pain to get off with thread wrapped up close to
it. A trick for using this material is to put a short length of thread
under the tubing once it is in place holding the guide. Slide it in
along the guide foot then pull it until it's 180 deg. from the guide.
When you are ready to remove the tubing, use the thread as a "handle" to
raise the tubing away from the threads to make it simpler to cut without
worry about the wrapping thread. ~troutmask56
