I have been personalizing rods for years with a
Brother Label Maker. The unit I use has a variety
of different fonts and letter sizes. There is also
a variety of different cartridges for letter colors.
I mainly use gold or white lettering with a clear
background in an Italic font. The label maker
produces a small label with an adhesive back that
can be placed on the blank during construction.
The results are very professional, factory looking
and the clear backing of the label disappears under
the finish so you only see the lettering. Most
people like their name, driver's license number,
or date of mfg. ~ Vernon M. Lew
