"Al Lent was always getting out fished by his buddies. He told E. C.
Powell's wife, Myrtle that he wanted a fly with all the best ingredients.They
decided on the following, some red, silver tinsel, peacock, and for hackle
some brown and grizzly. The result was named for Al Lent and for the first
time Lent out fished his friends. A couple of years later Mr. Lent asked
that the fly be renamed in memory of his infant son Buzz "-- Courtesy Press
Powell."
The original pattern was described:
- Hook: Dry fly hook.
- Thread: Black.
- Tail: Red hackle fibres.
- Tag: Silver Tinsel.
- Rear Hackle Grizzly.
- Body: Peacock herl.
- Fore Hackle: Brown.
