Individual taste in books varies as much as the favorite rod or fly. With that in mind, we hope to review books and videos from the ever-growing fly fishing world, and share them with you. Books will be the best of all worlds, new and old. Many of the old books are now available in reprint, and the wisdom contained is timely today. Others can be found in second-hand book stores, or by mail order dealers. As we find videos we feel are outstanding they will be included. Be assured, reviews are based on what we have actually read or viewed, and due to that fact, may not appear weekly.

FEATHER BRAIN

Reviewed By Tom Travis - May 05, 2014

As a fly tier I am always looking for new and innovative books that deal with the art and science of fly constructions, and after reading the reviews of Feather Brain penned by such notable author/fly tier's as Eric Leiser, Dan Blanton and Jonny King I knew that I had to obtain a copy of the book.

Many fly tiers write about their creations, but seldom do we get read about the creative thinking process which goes into the creation or modification of a fly pattern. This is exactly what Drew Chicone has done. His process will allow all of us to create or modify our patterns and will also assist those of us who write about this process to do a more complete job. This volume is a must for any serious fly tier or angler.

Enjoy & Good Tyin'
