- Book and Video Reviews
Individual taste in books varies as much as the favorite rod or fly. With that in mind, we hope to review books and videos from the ever-growing fly fishing world, and share them with you. Books will be the best of all worlds, new and old. Many of the old books are now available in reprint, and the wisdom contained is timely today. Others can be found in second-hand book stores, or by mail order dealers. As we find videos we feel are outstanding they will be included. Be assured, reviews are based on what we have actually read or viewed, and due to that fact, may not appear weekly.
Oregon Lake Maps and Fishing Guide
This new release by Amato Publications is part of the “River Maps” series. The release of this book launches a new series of map books that focus on lakes. Written by Gary Lewis this book covers 40 lakes and their surrounding communities.
The book is in large format [15” x 11”], which was too big to fit in my flat top scanner. The book is chocked full of information including: roads and access points, boat launches, hatches, local services, local events and much more.
If you have a hankering to fish one of the many lakes in Oregon this is a must have book.
