the two legs of the fly line are glued to oposite sides of the inner tube. They pass up thru holes in the lower part of the plug/top and pass under the upper section of the plug/top (which is mounted on a threaded shaft fitted into the lower part of the plug / top). The upper part of the top screws down to trap (squeeze) the flyline.


By putting the top assembly on and pulling the line tight then screwing down on the upper part the line is then immobilized holding the top assembly in place.... no visible hardware or fasteners.

the top assembly and bottom plug were turned of course and a hexagonal ppug shamped to be slued to themso that the top/bottom would be centerd on the tufe axis.

I may post a pic of the disassembled top assembly for clearity.
