Default Max bite on Regal C-Clamp vise?

Hi all, not sure if thisis the right spot but....

I'm looking at gifting myself a Regal Vise with my ( meager) tax return and would like to stay with the C-Clamp base style. My tying bench is about 2.25" thick so need to assure the Regal's C-Clamp has enoug bite to fit the bench. I've looked all over the net and can't seem to find the spec for it's max fit. Can anybody shed some light on this spec?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Don't have my Regal with me here but I'm certain that the clamp will open wide enough to clamp to your tying bench.

    from the internet

Features brass adjustment knobs as well as a cork pad to protect the surface to which you mount it. Mounts to virtually any surface up to approximately 2 3/4" thick.

Thank you! Not sure why my search's didn't find that butt hat is exactly the info I needed. Many Vise clamps bottom out at about 2". My bench is thick and I'd hate to buy something that didn't fit!
