Farm ponds and municipal water resivores are my fave places to fish, close to home, flat bottom boat and a paddle, love to quietly ease around the edges and take'm off the top, lots of fun.

If you can get on friendly terms with the greenskeeper, the water hazards on many golf courses are great. The courses are usually closed on Mondays down here and that's the time to go fishing. The runoff from the surrounding course tends to make the ponds very fertile.

I wouldn't eat fish out of golf course water. They tend to use a lot of pesticides. Some of them are cumulative and quite dangerous. FWIW, I worked on the greens crew for a couple of summers while in college.
