I took my little 2wt out on Friday; hadn't fished it in a while. Just a local urban drainage lake not far from my house; I still call this spot the Cottonwood Grove even though someone inexplicably cut down the stand of cottonwoods a couple of years back; all that's there now is a few willow and cottonwood saplings trying to take hold. But it's been good to me in the past...
There was still a Coachman tied on from last time, and the remains of a dropper lead; I found this nymph I'd never used and tied it on. It worked! I need to find the name of that nymph as I don't remember where I got it or anything about it, and it's looking a little bedraggled. Need more!
I almost got bored catching bluegills (note I said ALMOST); one of the best days I've had in a while. I went back Saturday...not so much.
