That reminds me of when I lived in New England. Opening day was an event. Plans were made, equipment was checked and laid out. Out the door an hour before sunrise and usually home by 9:00 or 10:00, either because we had enough fun by then or couldn't stand the cold. Here in Kentucky there is no season and we fish year 'round. I miss the excitement of opening day, not the cold.
