I got a registered letter a few minutes ago from the Denver Area Council of the Boy Scouts. My first thought was, "Are they throwing me out since I can't do much anymore?" Quite the contrary. I have been selected for the Silver Beaver Award!

Be careful how you live. You may be the only Bible some person ever reads.
What a wonderful followup to your good news.
It's all up now, Sweet Cheeks! Congratulations!!
*gots me a bit o' happy feet going on!!*
Trouts don't live in ugly places.
A friend is not who knows you the longest, but the one who came and never left your side.
Don't look back, we ain't goin' that way.
Wow Kevin! That is very impressive.
A lot of folks probably don't know what the Silver Beaver Award in Boy Scouts is all about.
This is not an award that you can earn or strive to get. The recipient is nominated by a person and then must be approved by the council.
This is from the BSA website:
"Overview
To recognize registered Scouters of exceptional character who have provided distinguished service within a council."
Congratulations Kevin, that is very impressive indeed.
I'll say it again: Wow!
Brian
Congratulations --and thanks for helping the many young men you did to earn this award!
