    Default S.E. Kansas strip pits

035.jpg047.jpgDown at the inlaws for easter so I took my rods and headed to the strip pits. The bluegill were chasing my flies and smashing them. The bigger the better on the fly size smaller flies resulted in small fish went to a size 8 and got some bigger fish. And a 14" bass on a size 10 bluegill popper.

I have tried to change that date hasn't worked yet. The fishing was a little better tonight the crappie were going nuts. Caught about 30 of them and my wife even got her first crappie on a fly. Caught a few more small bass on poppers. I will fish the morning early, might have to visit the inlaws again soon.
