Default To Promote the Knowledge of Truth (re: Starbucks & Troops)

In the now closed Starbucks thread, someone mentioned that they refused to 'support the troops' with coffee. I don't want to start up any arguing, but I feel its important to help inform the misinformed.

If anyone is interested, please read this fact-checking article that really shines the light on the situation:

If this is considered inappropriate in light of the recent thread closure, please feel free to delete. Don't wanna cause strife, just help reduce misinformation.

In my response in the previous thread where I voiced a dislike for the CEO of Starbucks, my distaste for him has nothing to do with the behaviour or politics of the company. My dislike for him is based on his actions only and as long as he remains the head of Starbucks I will refuse to purchase thier products.

Fair enough. Admirable, even, that you know the reasons for the things you do. Far too many dont, these days.

For my part, I dont give starbucks my business because there are three competitively priced, locally owned & operated coffee shops with better coffee, closer to me.
