would have to suggest to you the Cortland 444...but I would get it in the SYLK version. after initially waiting on mine for about 6 weeks (2 years ago), i finally got it... and I love the stuff (now all my trout rods sport SYLK). although I purchased much Orvis gear in my beginning stages of flyfishing career, I have come to hate Orvis equipment.
I've had three real seats fall apart on my last three Orvis REPLACEMENT rods (they all three broke under normal use)... instead of sending them back for more of the quality "worksmanship", I repaired the real seats myself with some good ole' fashioned 2-ton epoxy... maybe they don't have access to 2-ton epoxy in CHINA.
