This is sound off.
The topics here are free form but should be loosly related to fly fishing.
Nice video of a marine verbally serving a congressman.
But the context is only of the marine. It is not balanced.
You never get to hear from the Congressman.
The congressman may or may not be fit for serving his constituents, but if he is not THEY can vote him out of office.
This short video does nothing to promote conversation, only to stir up political views. Our political leaders have tough decisions to make on several topics these days.
Research the topics at hand, don't just follow the sound bites on the news. Then, when you have a genuinely informed view, call yours and let them know YOUR views. Or write or email them. But if you don't... you don't have the right to complain. They are supposed to serve their consituents. They can only know what their constituents want if you let them know. Politicians have a lot of tough legislation to deal with over the coming months. A lot of tough choices. But lets face it. They won't please everyone. They will either please the majority, or find themselves unemployed before long.
At least they are all doing something. I personally would not want to be in their shoes at this point in history. Right or wrong (depending on your view) they are in fact working. That in itself is remarkable if you think about it. Let them do their jobs. In the end though, this is not a political forum. This thread is therefore closed.
