To Our Valued Customers:
At Extrasport, product quality and performance are our top priority. This is why we work hard to ensure our personal flotation devices (PFD?s) meet and exceed the rigorous standards established by the United States Coast Guard.
Recently, we have learned that a few Rescue Belts attached to Rescue PFD?s may not meet our high quality standards, although they do adhere to all government requirements. For this reason, we are asking all of our current Extrasport Rescue PFD customers and end users to examine the RESCUE BELT on their Rescue PFDs to determine whether it is releasing properly. Here are the steps you need to take to determine this:
1.
Put on the Rescue Vest and properly assemble the Rescue Belt according to the directions on the inside of the Rescue Belt.
2.
Have another person pull on the Rescue Ring with notable and continual force
3.
Release the Rescue Belt by pulling the toggle ALL THE WAY open
4.
Observe to see if the webbing slides through the unit smoothly and separates from the PFD without having to apply excessive force on the Rescue Ring
If you are not happy with how your Rescue Belt performed in this exercise, please contact Extrasport at the number listed above for a FREE replacement Rescue Belt that has been tested in our facility.
We take seriously the trust you place in Extrasport to meet your rescue needs. Thank you in advance for helping us ensure your Extrasport Rescue Belt meets our high expectations for quality and performance.
Sincerely,
