theres the finish where you can still see the marks from the wrapping tape from the manufacturing process. (orvis for example)

who really gives a da*% anyway.

it your personal preference that counts, nobody elses. how you chose to finish your project is strictly your business.

however i've never heard of anybody epoxying the entire length of the blank, just the guide wraps.
