If you put it in water, it floats, and you can paddle it around.
Would help to know what kind of vehicle you are driving. Roof rack is a standard method, and they make foam pads if you don't have a rack. And trailers, and...
From the vehicle to water and not dragging some carry them on their shoulders and if you want wheels they sell two wheel Canoe Carts. LLBEAN sells on that will fold up when you reach the water. Should be easy to build, two wheels axle and a couple straps. BILL
I have a little car, a 98 cavalier, no roof rack. What are these foam pads called? I assume they have a name and not "Foam pads" haha
Just put the foam under the canoe and strap it down from and back?
Thanks a bunch!
Shane
With a small car you may be better off looking for a trailer. If you do car top the canoe it has to be tied down so that it can't slide off to either side as well as front and rear. If your canoe is wider than your vehicle as mine is you need some kind of padded bars tied to the roof of the vehicle and then tie the canoe to those. Try googling canoe carriers or looking for them on e-bay just to see what the options are.
