I use a loop-to-loop on everything.
But in this case, as JC said , the blood knot is the only way to go.
The one exception would be if you were incorperating a short(25 yards or less) section of mono for a shock absorber/stretch section, between the dacron and the fly line.
Then the loop to loop would be best.
