Not sure why yours don't look like this, but here is how I paint the head. First I paint the base color and use Acrylic pain (some I have is gloss and some is not), then I paint the under color of the eyes and after that dries I paint the Black. I paint with the flat end of a drill bit and try to keep the first color about 2 times larger then the Black. I do make sure to have a good amount on it before I touch it to the bait. After it all dries i over coat with Sally Henson's Hard as nails Top Coat.Originally Posted by DBenner
No real tricks just what I do. I do think the Sally Henson's is key to having good looking deep eyes. It brings them to life so to speak.
If someone wants my jigs with eyes I do them the same way just smaller depending on the size of the head.
