I like to catch my panfish on the top in warm weather. I use Gurgle Pops in chartreuse, yellow and white on a size #12 hook (use a dry fly hook or the small ones won't float long). I have also come to appreciate the Griffith Gnat in sizes #12 and #14. Be sure to debarb all your bluegill flies for easy hook removal. The Griffith Gnat is ideal for a light rod and my #2 weight casts the Gurgle Pops easily as well. 8T
