Don't forget the traditional way - for anyone who started Fly Fishing back in the good old days you always cast with the right hand then switch hands to reel with the right hand. I would never think of doing it any other way! My instructor would've slapped me upside the head! I still can't change.

Nowadays I don't think the manufacturers know what is correct. Some deliver right hand retrieve others left. It's just up to us to read the instructions and make the necessary corrections.

NOTE: I'm not about to say what is actually right - we don't need the arguments going here!
