I spent a couple of years in Punjab in North India a long time ago. First Christmas there, I was living on a government dairy farm (I was a Peace Corps Volunteer)on the Big Day. Some of the farm workers brought me a bouquet of marigolds and wished me a "Burra Din". Translated this means "Big Day" which was the best they could do for Merry Christmas. I was, of course, moved by this wonderful gesture and can see it in my mind today as if it was yesterday. I miss the place.

Burra Din to all!!
