Last year was such a fun year on the dry flies, I didn't do much nymphing at all, except in April and early May.
My boxes are all filling up with yellow mayflies, humpys, cranes, bugs/bombers, Wally wing mays, and wally wing irresistibles.
After last year I'm on a dry fly kick, all size 10 and up,.
As of late the bigger dry flies have been producing the bigger fish, even early in the season. It seems the joy of a rise is as much fun as a strike,, ahhhh, this game only gets better with age,
