I would also like to jump in and join the fun. If it's not to late. Thank you.

    Pheasantail65,

Your in and welcome. I also got your e-mail. We're filling a little slow, but that's okay. A good swap is a good swap, no matter what.

Count me in if it's not too late. I've never done a fly swap before. I actually tied for about 5 years, but took 15 years off, and have now been tying again for 4 months. A quick look at my recent flies counts me as a beginner again! (grin)

And, to prove that I'm a rank beginner at fly swaps -- I'm assuming that you want multiple copies of a single pattern, not 12 (or however many folks sign up) different nymphs for October? Or can I split it between 2 patterns?

I would like to join this swap also. Dave Hughes says that, when learning to tie, you must "tie by the dozen".

For the first fly, I would like to tie a #16 Beadhead Pheasant Tail -- my goto nymph.

And yet another newbie fly swap question -- all the same size?

I decided on DanBob's Green Scud (no, it's not a communicable disease) for part 1. Just caught over a dozen Grayling on it one day last week!

    Howdy Guys,

Just back from the Idaho Fish-in, like 5 minutes ago. Haven't even unpacked the car yet. Danbob and BigFlatBrook, you guys are in and welcome.

We have 9 tiers so far. Each tier ties ther required number of the same fly, in the same size. No need to let everyone know what your tying. If two of you pick the same fly, then you get to see how someone else ties the same pattern. Pretty cool to compare and contrast as they say.

I'll put out more later, after I unpack the car.
