Start here. http://www.colemancreekflies.com/[/url:9c0da]
Full 'step-by-step' would be over 250 pictures and should only be available for a fee. Ten years of tying and a lot of talent should help some.
Some information here as well. www.hatchmasters.ca[/url:7c0f0]
Yes, hatchmasters.ca is the best place for detailed step by step tying of realistics. You will see the other fellow's OLB flies there too. Actually he just started tying realistics this year (as he states in a post on the other site) and you can see the very nice work he is already doing with the tips and techniques he has learned there.
Lot of well known realistic tyers like Whillock , Logan and tyers from all over the world. It is strictly a realistic tyers site run by realistic tyer Dale Beamish.
Just don't stop dropping in here. FAOL is the best all around FF/FT site going!
thanks for the sites, im going to try tying some, and dont worry, i still love this site, and it is without a dought the best site for FF/FT

Yes, Thanks Fats. That is the actual site of Dale Beamish I mention above. The other is his selling, personal site. Thanks for spotting that!...Bob
Hey Bob ... I wasn't sure if posting a direct link to the forum would be right so I thought they could follow the links.
And I agree I lurk on this forum a lot. I love it too.
Flytyer magazine has had a realistic tying article in several recent issues.
Great step by step instructions for a realistic spider, a golden stone fly, and a really cool foam grasshopper (current issue)
You might see if you local library carries this excellent journal in the periodical section, or prehaps they can get through the inter library loan system. Back issues can be purchased through the publisher as well...
