    Nice tie and great variations! What is the wing material w/ white tips? Those flies look like they will catch fish! Have you had good success with them?

    gray squirrel tail

    i tie them but i dont fish them

    i do believe other fisherman have success with them

    What qualifies a streamer as a member of the "Rat Series", the grizzly hackle and squirrel tail wing or is there something else I missed.

    Good question Jesse. I only see three things that are the same. Red head, hackle and squirrel tail wing. Don't see anything that looks like a Rat

    umm rat has nothing to do with a rat but everything to do with Roy Angus Thompson, and his initials R A T are the inspiration for the pattern
