I've never tried this before. Looks like the orientation is wrong. Any advice?

When you have the picture on the computer, you might be able to change the orientation by rotating the view and then saving it. Call up the pic and see if in the menu bar at the top there is a box that has a circular arrow. Clicking on that might rotate the pic. Keep clicking on that until you have the orientation you want, save and then try posting it.
Good luck,
Mike
Yep, I know to do that; however, the orientation was correct in my file, but turned when I posted it. Maybe have to reduce the size of the pic in file before posting. Any other recommendations based on my response? Thanks in advance.

I use the Hornberg as a searching pattern. I fish in eastern NY streams. I find that many fly fishers haven't heard of this pattern. The fly you posted looks great. Adios Philip
John,
Good looking Hornberg, regardless of the picture orientation. One of the first flies I tied after a got a JC skin. Glad you put the real deal on this example. Can't really tell from your photo but did you include anything for the underbody wing?
Class tie of a real "Classic" pattern. Nice job!

Nice fly. I like the old classic patterns. Thanks for posting!
Huh, well let me think, tough these days. My only other thought at the moment, well two. Try saving the pic as a PDF file, then uploading it. I am assuming you save the pic after rotation.
Mike
Out of curiosity checked one of Scott P's latest picture posts. The file is a JPEG. Maybe saving it that way will do the trick.

Great looking Hornberg especially with the real J.C. eye.. Can't get any better than that.

Mike,
I don't give up easy and you are probably right on the way I saved it. I'll give that a try as well. I might try another experiment, so I hope no one I offended.
Joe,
The hook is wound with gold tinsel back to the hook point and a yellow calf tail under wing over that. The under wing should not extend beyond the bend of the hook. Thus the yellow hue showing through the mallard over wings. It has been working well on the Ausable and in the Driftless Region earlier this year. Give it a try.
