Shape of the light reminds me of the flappy things coming out of the monsters and alien crafts in the most recent War of the Worlds movie.

Understand. I have only seen the original version of the movie back when I was a kid. This lamp won't hurt you though. It is a real pleasure to use. I have used others like the OTT, but they weren't high enough to shine down.
