I'm sure by now the news is starting to leak out of the Grayling area?unfortunately I got a text yesterday afternoon with the news, very sad indeed.
In a cruel twist of fate Julie was diagnosed a couple years ago with lung cancer, the same cancer that also took her husband Rusty.
As cancers often do over time, it spread and caused a myriad of other complications until it eventually took her life late yesterday afternoon?and all to soon.
I interviewed Julie for The River during the early summer of 2013,
pre diagnosis. It's weird to know now that while I was interviewing her?mainly discussing Rusty's death, that she also had it and didn't know?and wouldn't for another couple months.

Update for funeral arrangements?
Service Friday 1- 9 at Sorenson's in Grayling, funeral on Saturday.
Trouts don't live in ugly places.
A friend is not who knows you the longest, but the one who came and never left your side.
Don't look back, we ain't goin' that way.
