My daughter was cleaning a house and found these old furs and the woman told her to toss them - so she brought them to me, when she and my granddaughter came to visit last week.

I used to get my mink from a market stall at the Waterloo Square market in the heart of Amsterdam. The lady who owned the stall told me that she sold a lot of her leather and fur to transvestites in town. I had just found some very nice mink collars in her stall, and she added that the brown and tan mink "just don't work with your complexion, honey". The black and silver mink were ok against my skin, according to her.
A little embarrassed I told her that I didn't use this mink to wear it. I explained that I am a fly fisherman and use it to tie flies. She gave me a dubious look and muttered beneaht her breath to one of the drag queens next to her: "Did you hear that? Some people really have the strangest hobbies!"
