I want to send someone a few flies and they mention they fish the Au Sable from time to time. What would you suggest I send by way of dry fly or nymph?
Thanks in advance.

How about Fran Betters' Ausable Wulff's?
My old home waters!!
BWO Dry & Emerger 18 - 20, Iso's 12 - 14, Mattress Thrashers 10 - 12, Dust Bunnies and tricos. Check the Hatch Chart on the Gate's Au Sable Lodge chart.
Is this the Au Sable in Michigan or the Au Sable in New York? The answers you have so far represent one from both areas.
I can think of few acts more selfish than refusing a vaccination.
You're right Jim! Missed that.
Thanks for the replies everyone. The Au Sable in question is in New York. Byron, Fran Betters Ausable Wulff will work. Jack, I have quite a few BWO's already tied so that will work out great.
Thanks again everyone; one of the reasons I love this site is the people who are willing to share.
Greg
this was Fran's site from which he offered the flies to order

if he plans on fishing it around the 10'th of june , I would send him some white wullfs, size 8 and 10, and some golden stone nymphs 8,10,12. maybe a few barrs graphic caddis, tan, size 14
Good stuff everyone; thank you for your help.
I forgot to mention that the local fly shop owner, Tom, is very helpful too about local conditions and recommended flies
