Waders & felt soles

I'm hitting the Miramichi River next week for salmon & my guide advises me to have felt soles on my waders. PROBLEM I have Helly Hansen PVC boot foot waders & was wondering if anyone had a suggestions on what to use for a cement, if a cement will stick, and if boot insoles are OK to use? A cheap set of crampons might be a viable alternative if all else fails. HEEEEELLLLLLLPPP!!!!!!. LOL Jamie

Felt soles are a must on the Miramichi. I have a home there and fish the river quite often. I have never tried crampons.
Some indoor/outdoor carpet without the foam back and some contact cement will do the trick quite nicely. That's what I use.

Well, I hope all conditions are good for you. It's too bad. I was suppose to be going down next week but work commitments say otherwise. The wife is going by herself but she doesn't fish. What a waste. LOL
