All of my FlyAnglers Articles were destroyed when my computer crashed...
It will take me a long time to rebuild my FAOL Folder... so that means there is not going to be a Beginner's Only Fly Swap this coming November..

Steve,
That is heart breaking and I know you are really down about it. So sorry.......

Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.
What about getting a copy of your latest disk back from someone that should help get some of it back.
I have your disk of, "Fly Of The Week" - Volume 1 thru 7 (1997 to 2004)
If that will be any help to you, I will be glad to send it to you. Just need you to PM me your home address and I will send it.

I have the Sept 2006 version already duplicated that I can send you if you can't get a more recent one. I keep a copy in my fishing bag and give them to people who are interested in tying.
I can think of few acts more selfish than refusing a vaccination.
i have the 2013 one i can send you if you'd like
If the hard drive was corrupted in the bios or OS, you still can recover the data. It will cost you some money, but you can go to computer store and ask them to assess the damage in the disk and the possibility of recovering the data. It happened to me more than once. I learned my lesson to have a regular (daily) backup (external hard drive) system now and 3 computers with all my data (work and personal data) synchronized.

You can get the items on the disc recovered. http://lifehacker.com/5982339/diy-da...-goes-belly-up here is a link to Seagate's service to do the work for you and I am sure that there are many others out there and just might be someone in the town where you live. http://www.seagate.com/services-soft...very-services/

I am still recovering from my injury in January.... and I have just got my computer up and running...
My Postal Credit Union Branch Manager, helped reinstall all my deposits and payout from January 1st 2014 through April 2014.
I got my Microsoft Money CD up and running on my computer, and I also got my Microsoft Work up and running...but I am having a hard time with a PDF download.
So until further notice, there will be no more "Beginner's Only Fly Swaps". The "2014 Beginner's Fly Swaps" will end with the "April Streamer Swap" There will not be any "May Terrestrial Swap"!
None of the PDF that I found on the internet is of any help...when trying to turn my Works to convert my "Works" over to "PDF" it does not work...
Currently I am still dealing with the outstanding bill from getting my dentist work, and all the bills from the hospital, and other monthly bills that I have to handle every month...
I still will be visiting FAOL every two weeks when the new articles are posted.

Sorry for all the trouble Steven.
I used to backup to an external hard drive but that meant I had to remember to do it so now I simply use Carbonite...well worth it.
You might consider trying LibreOffice as mentioned. It has a pdf program and they are said to be very similar to Word.
