I've never used it but I just finished wrapping a rod in green thread that I'd like to keep as bright as possible, so what Color Preserver have you guys had good, and consistent, success with?

Color Guard is my choice
I generally use color fast thread that does not need color preserver. ProWrap has lots of colors. But that doesn't help you out.
But I would trust any suggestion by Goduster. He knows his stuff.
I use FlexCoat CP. Does a fine job for me.

Be careful how you live. You may be the only Bible some person ever reads.
Where do you get Color Guard?

I had some FlexCoat, it was almost solid when I opened it up.... Does it go bad?

I don't know the policies of posting from another forum but a search of the net for "color preserver test" should produce a link to the rodbuildingforun(dot)com that has an excellent post by Carlin on this subject.
That being said I have never used what is sold as rodbuilding CP. I have and do use urethane based products with good results but my favorite is a Acrylic-styrene polymer that I use to glue my inlays together.
