I am absolutely THRILLED to see you won that 'boo, & You must have been sittin' by the computer for as fast as you responded! LOL!
I just think it's great...too bad for ol' Jack Hise. He's gonna have to dig into his pockets for one...& we KNOW he will.
Congrats again...it's always great to see someone win who will truly treasure & appreciate the "goods".

Thanks!! I just came in from work and read my e mails. It's been a long night. Already have the catalogs strewn across the living room looking for the correct reel.
I know for a fact I'm the only Game Warden in Texas with a new Elkhorn bamboo!! I'm all over this deal big time!!!
Poor Jack! My wife said,"It's about time!!" Of course she wasn't too thrilled when I woke her up to tell her. Oh well!!

It is a classic design and looks as nice in your hands as it does on the web.
A less expensive option might be the Okuma Magnitude. It is very light and less expensive than the Elkhorn Classic. I've got one and it has given me flawless service for the 3 years I've owned it.

Sincerely (kinda sorta) Congrats! Been drooling over the possibility of a 'boo for some time. Just knew it belonged out here in Maryland. But if it had to go anywhere, at least it made it to God's country. Next time I'm out to Lubbock to see my folks I'll give ya a shout so I can drool all over it. Take good care of "OUR" rod.

Andy, if you go to ebay and search for a Ballan reel. You will find the Bill sells them for $239. This is a great reel for bamboo.
